MP calls to investigate Basra PC over wasting funds of Basra budgets

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Mansour al-Timimi, of Basra province revealed that there is a dangerous waste of the budgets of Basra province from 2003 to 2012.

Timimi stated in a press statement received by IraqiNews.com on Tuesday “In spite of the huge amounts of money allocated to Basra province in the budget of 2012, but the citizens of Basra did not witness any progress in the performance of the projects.”

“Allocating such amounts must witness huge projects that result in good benefit for the citizens,” he added, noting that “There is a huge waste of the public fund in Basra province.”

He called to “Investigate the Provincial Council of Basra province due to being neglectful in this issue and not serving the citizens of Basra.”
