Maliki warns from return of sectarianism in Iraq

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Iraqi Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, warned from the return of sectarianism in Iraq, calling all the tribal figures and religious scholars from all sects to confront all images of sectarianism and confessionalism.

In his speech during the First Constitutive Conference for Iraq Youth Trend in Baghdad, Maliki said that “I urge all the religious scholars and chieftains to reject and curb all the schemes to bring the sectarianism back to Iraq.”

“The one who thinks in sectarian mentality will not achieve progress in the process of reconstructing the country,” he added.
