Khalil stresses reaching comprehensive solution for CG, Kurdistan RegionG crisis over disputed areas

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Mahma Khalil of the Kurdistani Alliance confirmed “The necessity of reaching comprehensive solution for the crisis of the disputed areas between the Central Government and the Kurdistani Regional Government during their meeting that will be held in Erbil.

Speaking to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com), he said “Not reaching a comprehensive solution for this crisis means there will be disputes and impediments in this regard.”

“The crisis between the CG and the Kurdistan RegionG over the disputed areas was the most critical crisis since 2003 and that is why we call to eliminate the formation of Dijla Operations Command which is unconstitutional and illegal,” he mentioned.

He expressed his optimism in this regard to find solutions for this issue expecting dissolving Dijla Operations Command as requested by the President, Jalal Talabani,” he concluded.

Earlier, Peshmerga Ministry of Kurdistani Regional Government described its negotiations held with the Central Government on last Wednesday over the security file in the disputed areas as positive.
