Askari describes current demonstrations as aiming to spark sedition

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP Sami al-Askari of the State of Law Coalition described the slogans of the demonstrations in a number of Iraqi cities as sectarian.

Askari told Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) that “Some slogans and demands have nothing to do with law or the constitution, also it is far away from the political scene where its goal is just to spark sectarian strife,” stressing that “this is demonstrated through blocking the international road in Anbar province.”

“However, there are some demands can be addressed as they are within the framework of the law and the Iraqi Constitution,” he added.
