Urgent – Parliament session lifted for one hour

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The parliament session of Thursday was lifted due to heated statements between MP, Abbas al-Bayati of the State of Law Coalition and MP, Baha al-Araji, the head of al-Ahrar bloc within the Sadr Trend on the background of investigating the Youth and Sport Minister, Jasim Jaafar for corruption issues.

A parliamentary source stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) on Thursday “The parliament Speaker, Osama al-Nijaifi, lifted the parliament session that witnessed heated statements between Bayati and Araji, on the back ground of investigating Jaafar who belongs to the SLC over corruption issues.”

“Nijaifi lifted the parliament session one hour due to the tensed statements,” the source concluded.

It is worth mentioning that Jaafar did not attend the parliament sessions specified for investigating him.
