First person in biggest alliance not to be investigated for political purposes, says Bayati

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Abbas al-Bayati, of the State of Law Coalition stated that “Investigating the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki cannot be done because it is of political purposes and has no relation to his authority.”

Speaking to All Iraq New Agency (IraqiNews.com), he said “Due to the questions prepared to the investigation session, it is shown that it is a political investigation and not related to Maliki’s authority.”

“According to the constitution, the first person in the biggest alliance cannot be investigated for political purposes,” he concluded.
