PUK official survives assassination in Mosul

Nineveh (IraqiNews.com) Leading figure of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan headed by the Iraqi President Jalal Talabani survived an assassination attempt in northeastern Mosul.

Security source told Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) on Monday “The director of PUK offices in Mosul city, Arif Rushdi, survived assassination when an IED went off targeting his motorcade at Pepsi St. of Mithaq neighborhood to the northwest of Mosul, capital of Nineveh province.”

“The incident did not cause any casualties,” the source added.
