MP describes votes to increase Kurdistan Region’s share of federal budget as reaction to votes collected to decrease that share
Sulaimaniya (IraqiNews.com) MP Qasim Mohamed of the Kurdistani blocs coalition stressed that “Collecting votes by the Kurdistani Alliance to request increasing the share of Kurdistan Region from the federal budget is simply a reaction to the previous collection of votes that was done by MPs of the State of Law Coalition when they called to decrease Kurdistan Region’s share of the budget.”
Mohamed stated to Iraqi News “l think the right measure that should be taken is to conduct the census because it shows the legitimate right for each province from the budget and provide database for the comprehensive development process in the country.”
Earlier, MP Mahma Khalil of the KA has announced collecting 140 votes of MPs to ask for increasing Kurdistan Region’s share from the federal budget.
