SLC MP: IS MPs’ withdrawal from parliament sessions to affect Iraqis

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Fatima al-Zarkani, of the State of Law Coalition described the withdrawal of the MPs of the Iraqiya Slate from the parliament sessions as “Affecting the Iraqi people and their interests.”

In a press statement received by IraqiNews.com on Sunday, she said “The withdrawal of the IS from the parliament sessions is an evidence for neglecting the interests of the Iraqi people especially in the current time where the parliament is conducting the final reading to 2013 general budget.”

“The IS neglected the interests of the demonstrators in Anbar, Mosul and Salah il-Din provinces by being the adopting side to the demonstrations and by withdrawing from the parliament sessions, the IS proved that it is neglecting the demonstrators’ interests,” she concluded.

Earlier, the IS decided to suspend the attendance of its MPs from the parliament session starting from Saturday the 26th of January till responding to the demonstrators’ demands.
