Barzani, Beecroft discuss political situation

Erbil (IraqiNews.com) The US Ambassador to Iraq Steven Beecroft, called the President of Kurdistan Region, Masoud Barzani, to release new initiative to address the current escalated crisis.

Beecroft’s invitation to Barzani came during a meeting that gathered them in Erbil on last Wednesday, according to statement by the Kurdistan Region Presidency office.

The statement cited that “Barzani received Beecfroft and his accompanying delegation where they discussed the political situation in Iraq and the efforts and exerted to resolve the current tensions.”
