Integrity Committee: Judiciary starts investigation over Russian armament deal

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Khalid al-Alwani, of the Parliamentary Integrity Committee stated that the judiciary started the investigation over the armament deal between Iraq and Russia where it called the Ministry of Defense to send the armament deals to it.

He stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “The Integrity Committee has written its report and sent to the parliament that sent it to the Integrity Commission and was granted a judicial case number.”

“The judiciary contacted the MoD to send it the contracts of the deals and formed an investigation committee to discuss it,” he added, noting that “The investigation committee needs some days to accomplish its task and reveal the corrupted officials.”
