Hakim discusses political crisis with religious authorities in Najaf

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The head of the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council, Ammar al-Hakim discussed with Najaf Religious Authorities the political developments.

A statement by the SIIC cited on Saturday “Hakim visited the religious authorities in Najaf province where he met individually with each of the Religious Authority, Maohmed Saeid al-Hakim, Sheikh Basheer al-Najafi, and Sheikh Ishaq al-Fayadh. He listened to their opinions and recommendations related to the current political crisis.”

“Hakim urged to stick to the religious authority’s recommendations concerning addressing the crisis through adopting dialogue and meet the legitimate among the demonstrators’ demands,” the statement concluded.
