Ahdab Oil field’s workers start strike

Wassit (IraqiNews.com) The Iraqi workers in Ahdab Oil field started a strike demanding for their financial rights.The correspondent of IraqiNews.com reported that ”About 500 workers, who work in Ahdab Oil field, started a strike demanding for their financial rights and complaining from the bad treatment that they suffer by the officials of the company,” noting that “The strikers are contracted with the Chinese company (Waha) which invests in the Oil field.””The strikers’ demands included compensating them and allocating financial allowances for them as well as demanding the local government to establish an association to be concerned with their rights and to appoint them on the permanent staff of the Ministry of Oil,” the correspondent added. \
