Nusayif calls Government to take stance concerning Barzani’s visit to Russia

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Aliya Nusayif, of Hurra Iraqiya Coalition called the Government to take a stance concerning the visit of the President of Kurdistan Region, Masoud Barzani, to Russia.

She stated to IraqiNews.com “The Federal Government must have a stance concerning such visits that are conducted without notifying it and regarding the agreements concluded during them,” noting that “These visits harms the fame of Iraq and its position.”

“The constitution prohibited the provinces and the regions from concluding strategic agreements like armament deals that must be ratified by the Federal Government,” she concluded.

Earlier, Barzani, visited Russia on last Tuesday where he met the Russian President, Vladimir Putin, in Moscow and other Russian key officials.
