24 IA Soldiers killed, injured in Mosul

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) Nine Iraqi Army soldiers were killed while 15 others were injured as a result for a suicide bomber explosion and armed attacks in Mosul.The Kurdish Biamuneir News Agency quoted a source in the Iraqi Army that ”An armed group attacked the headquarter of the Iraqi Army/ Second Division, 26th Brigade at 10:30 of Wednesday night in Cairo neighborhood of central Mosul city,” noting that “The armed attack resulted in killing three soldiers and wounding seven others.”According to the source ”Six Iraqi Army soldiers were killed and eight others were wounded when a suicide bomber detonated a car bomb targeting the Iraqi Army/ 2nd Division, 5th Brigade at 7:30 pm of Wednesday night in Hamdaniya area (32 KM) to the southeastern of Mosul city.””The suicide bomber attack was followed by a machineguns attack implemented by gunmen that targeted a security checkpoint that belong to the Iraqi Army in Arbaichya neighborhood within Mosul city,” the source pointed out, noting that “The attack did not result in any human casualties.”
