Dhi Qar takes preventive measures in anticipation of expected floods

Dhi Qar (IraqiNews.com) Dhi Qar province announced taking preventive measures in anticipation of new floods during current March and next April.

Source at Water Resources Department in Dhi Qar told Iraqi News “The Department took a series of preventive measures in anticipation of a new wave of floods that may sweep the province during the current spring due to fall of rain and frost especially on the headwaters of Tigris and Euphrates Rivers in Turkey and Syria in addition to the Iraqi territories, the thing that would increase the level of the two Rivers.”
