Urgent – Inaugurating new golden cage of Imam Hussein’s holy shrine

Karbala (IraqiNews.com) The administration of the Hussein holy shrine inaugurated the new golden cage of the holy shrine of Imam Hussein.

The reporter of Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) stated “The administration of the Hussein holy shrine inaugurated the new golden cage of Imam Hussein’s holy shrine in presence of many pilgrims.”

The inauguration was attended by many key figures such as the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Ali Akbar Salihi in addition to other clergymen, academic and media officials.

The administration of the Hussein Holy Shrine started the process of replacing the cage of Imam Hussein holy shrine with a new cage on last January.

The holy shrine was closed for 40 days until the end of replacing the cage.

It is worth to mention that the new cage has been made in the Iranian Qum City and weighs 12 tons of gold, silver and precious stones in addition to five tons of wood and is ornamented with verses of the holy Quran.

It is considered the first cage of its type.
