Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Ministry of Interior announced that ”The Intelligence Department of the Federal Police seized weapons and ammunitions in Nahrwan and Shurqat districts within Salah-il-Din province.”The official spokesperson of the Ministry of Interior, Saad Maan Ibraheem, reported in statement received by IraqiNews.com on Thursday ”The forces of the intelligence department of the federal police implemented a security operation that resulted in seizing two explosive vests, mortar shell, artillery shell and a rocket.””The security forces imposed a security cordon over the ammunition location then lifted the cache and delivered it to the specialized sides,” the statement added.”The intelligence forces of Salah-il-Din discovered an Improvised Explosive Device IED inside a citizen’s house in addition to an amount of the highly explosive material (C4) in addition to a mortar shell and ammunition in Salamat village within Shurqat district,” he continued saying.”The forces found a local made IED emplaced near medical clinic near the holy shrine of Sayed (Mohamed),” he explained, noting that “The IED was detonated without any losses.” ”The intelligence forces discovered another weapons cache that included rocket launcher, mortar shells, mines and other explosives that were delivered to the specialized sides to be defused,” he concluded. \
