Alewi: KA’s objection over 2013 Budge, illogical

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Karim Alewi, of the Iraqi National Alliance described the objection of the Kurdistani Alliance over the 2013 General Budget as “Illogical.”

In a press statement received by IraqiNews.com, he said “The Kurds’ objection over the Budget is illogical and they had to discuss the ratio of Kurdistan Region and the other issues through their representative ministers not in the parliament because this issue is not related to the parliament to specify the financial amounts.”

“Endorsing the Budget was for the interest of all the constituents of the Iraqi people and did not target any of them,” he added, noting that “The national agreement over voting on the Budget is based on the responsibility towards the Iraqi people.”

He called the political blocs to “Vote on the law drafts that serve the Iraqi people and result in sustaining the security and stability where these laws must be approved and acceptable by such national agreement as what was done with the Budge law.”
