Anbar PC member: voters on postponing local elections in Anbar fear loss in elections

Anbar (IraqiNews.com) Member within Anbar Provincial Council, who requested anonymity, accused the members who voted on postponing the local elections in Anbar of trying to extend the Council’s term as they fear their loss in the elections.

He told Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) on Monday “The members who voted on the request of postponing the local elections in Anbar seek to extend the term of the council for they fear their loss in the upcoming local elections.”

Anbar PC has voted on Monday, on the request forwarded to the Independent High Electoral Commission over postponing the next provincial elections in the province for security reasons.
