Turkish Consulate in Basra stresses support for Iraqi sports

Basra (IraqiNews.com) The Turkish Consulate in Basra, Farouq Qaemakchi, announced that “Turkey supports the progress of sports in Iraq and it works on enhancing the cooperation with Iraq in sports fields.”

Qaemakchi said during his participation as a spectator for the final football match conducted on last Sunday in Basra between two Iraqi clubs “Basra youth have great skills where the sport starts in Basra will familiarize the world with their names soon.”

He confirmed that “Holding Khaliji 22nd of 2015 in Basra will significantly help support the football in Iraq and Basra.”
