Iraq attempts to lift FIFA ban on international matches

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Chairman of the Iraqi Olympic Committee, Raad Hamodi, and the Head of the Iraqi Football Association, Najeh Hamod, left Baghdad towards Kuwait to meet the Chairman of the Asian Olympic Council, Ahmed al-Fahad al-Ahmed.The Chairmen of the IOC and IFA are traveling to get the full support from the Asian Olympic Council in preparation to lift the ban which was imposed on Iraq by the FIFA on hosting the formal and friendly matches since the reasons behind imposing the ban are removed.
