MP: Religious Authority call for wide participation in PCs elections aims at enhancing democracy

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The independent MP, Abdul Hadi al-Hakim, stressed that the call of the Religious Authority for wide participation in next Provincial Council elections comes to enhance democracy.

He stated to IraqiNews.com “This call aims at achieving the best representation for people to fight corruption.”

“The Religious Authority is adherent to the national interest and want to widely participate in the next PCs elections to get good representation for them,” he added.

“Usually people are opposing corruption so the wide participation will ensure electing honest people,” he concluded.
