Urgent – .SFC affirms legality of identifying 3 presidencies’ terms law

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The parliament Legal Committee announced on Tuesday that “The Supreme Federal Court asserted the legality of the law related to identifying the three presidencies’ terms.

Member of the Committee, Muhsen al-Sadoun told Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “The SFC confirmed that the law that was ratified by the parliament is correct in terms of the form, and the appeal against this law can be submitted after publishing it in the official newspaper.”

He added “The Court postponed settling the appeal case submitted by the State of Law Coalition till publishing it in the official newspaper.”

The Iraqi parliament has voted on 26th, last January, by majority on the identifying the three presidencies’ terms law amid objection of the SLC headed by the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, describing it as illegal and unconstitutional.
