International Airport to be established in Maysan

Maysan, Amara (IraqiNews.com) The Governor of Maysan province, Ali Lazim Dawi, announced the approval in principal from the Ministry of Oil to take some of the territories located near Amara Oil Field to establish the International Airport of Maysan.The Media Office of Maysan Governor quoted Dawi, as saying during receiving the Minister of Oil, Abdul Karim Laibi, in Maysan province that “The meeting included discussion of several important issues, particularly, compensating the farmers who were damaged due to developing the Oil fields.””The meeting resulted in obtaining the consent in principle from the Minister of Oil to take some of the lands located near Maysan Oil field in order to complete the procedures to establish Maysan International Airport,” the statement concluded. \
