Head of Shora local council survives assassination attempt in Nineveh

Nineveh (IraqiNews.com) The head of Shora local council survived an assassination attempt by an Improvised Exclusive Device that targeted his patrol of southern Nineveh province.

A security source stated to AlN on Sunday “An IED was emplaced on the side road exploded to target the patrol of the head of the Shora local council, 40 KM of southern Mosul, where it did not result in any causalities.”

“A security force seized the explosion scene and started a search operation to avoid any more explosions,” the source concluded.
