Asadi: Sadrist ministers’ withdrawal from CoM aims at toppling Maliki

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP Khalid al-Asadi of the State of Law Coalition expected that “The decision of the Sadrist Ministers to suspend their presence in the sessions of the Council of Ministers is related to attempts of reviving the project of withdrawing the confidence from the Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki.”

MP Asadi stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “The decision of the Sadrist Ministers may be an attempt to pass a political deal or revive the project of withdrawing the confidence from the PM Maliki which was initiated by some sides during the last period.”

He added “The issue of taking a decision to suspend the elections in some provinces within the Council of the Ministers was taken inside the CoM by all the sides of Council rather than by PM Maliki.”
