Hakim, Iranian Culture Minister discuss mutual cooperation

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The head of the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council, Ammar al-Hakim, stressed that “Iraq hopes to strengthen the bilateral relations with all the neighboring countries.”

A statement by the SIIC cited on Tuesday “Hakim received at his office in Baghdad, the Iranian Minister of Culture, Sayid Mohamed Husseini, where they discussed the cultural ties between both countries and ways to promote them.”

The statement added “The two sides discussed the proposals submitted to hold cultural forums to commemorate many major Islamic figures who had great impact on the culture of both countries,” confirming “This step would positively affect the cultural relations among the region’s countries.”
