Son of local elections’ nominee injured in Mosul

Nineveh (IraqiNews.com) Son of a nominee for the next local elections in Iraq was injured due to an armed attack to the east of Mosul.

Security source told IraqiNews.com on Tuesday “Unidentified gunmen tried to storm the house of the nominee, Wajih al-Jihaishi of the Unified Nineveh Slate, but his son clashed with them and was injured during the clash.”

“Security source rushed to the incident area and transported the injured to a hospital for treatment,” the source added.
