INA to hold meeting over postponing local elections in Anbar, Nineveh, says Abtan

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP Abdul Hussein Abtan of the Citizen Bloc stressed on Thursday “The Iraqi National Alliance’s political office will hold meeting soon where it has perspective concerning the decision of postponing the local elections in Anbar and Nineveh provinces.

Abtan stated to Iraqi News “The INA including the Citizen bloc is not with postponing the local elections in Anbar and Nineveh.”

“The Sadr Trend is essential component within the INA and it will continue attending the Alliance’s meetings and the parliament’s sessions, he added ruling out any secession within the INA.”

“The political scene in Iraq needs exerted efforts by all the political blocs to calm down the current tensions,” Abtan concluded.
