Alewi calls Government, IHEC to reconsider postponing Anbar, Nineveh PCs elections

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Kareem Alewi, of the Iraqi National Alliance called the Government and the Independent High Electoral Commission

He stated to IraqiNews.com “Postponing the elections is unconstitutional and illegitimate since Iraq is unified.”

“The postponement means separating these provinces form the center and will lead to call for forming region which is rejected by all Iraqis,” he added.

“The western part of Iraq will be isolated in case the elections postponed, so government must reconsider this decision,” he concluded.
