Arab, foreign delegations arrive to attend festival in Baghdad

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) Many Arab and foreign delegations arrived in Baghdad to participate in the festival of Baghdad the Capital of Arab Culture which will start tomorrow, Saturday.

A statement by the Ministry of Culture received by IraqiNews.com cited Friday “The Ministry of Culture Undersecretary Tahir al-Hamoud received the Palestinian Minister of Culture Siham al-Barghuthi and accompanying delegation as well as the UAE Deputy Minister of Culture, Bilal al-Batar, in Baghdad International Airport on Friday afternoon.”

“Hamoud also received the Lebanese Deputy Culture Minister, Faisal Talib, in addition to delegations from Yemen, Mauritania and Serbia,” the statement added.

Hamoud welcomed the participating delegations in the festival of Baghdad the Capital of Arab Culture for 2013.
