IS MP rules out toppling Maliki

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Jamal Kilani, of the Iraqiya Slate ruled toppling the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, or withdrawing confidence from him.

Speaking to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com), he said “We do not think that Maliki will be toppled, but we are sure that the political process will be collapsed due to the lack of the real role of the political blocs to correct it through the parliament where the personal and sectarian interests became the essential ones and the citizens are the victims.”

He expected “The withdrawal of the ministers of the State of Law Coalition as the ministers of the IS and the Kurdistani Alliance did, because they will not be able to hold the responsibility.”

“In Iraq, we have a quick way to escape the responsibility which is either withdrawal or resignation as if it is the only solution,” he concluded.
