Granting Syrian seat for opposition violates bylaw of Arab League, says MP

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Imad Youhana, member of the Foreign Relations Parlaimentary Committee assured that “The representation of Iraq in the 24th Arab Summit that was held in Doha was supposed to be lesser than the representation of Qatar during the former Arab Summit held in Baghdad.”

He stated to IraqiNews.com “Qatar’s negative stance towards Iraq is going on,” noting that “Iraq presented all the important issues in the Summit because it was the former head of the Summit.”

“Granting Syrian seat within the Arab League to the opposition violates the bylaw of the league,” he continued.

“The Arab countries’ stance would be neutral if the seat was kept vacant during the Summit,” he concluded.
