ISF devotion for protecting demonstrators behind targeting candidates, says Zamili

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The member of the Security and Defense Parlaimentary Committee, Hakim al-Zamili, stressed that the devotion of the security forces to ensure the protection for the demonstrators in Nineveh, Anbar and Salah-il-Din province is behind escalated security breaches against the candidates of the next Provincial Councils elections.”

He stated to IraqiNews.com “The Iraqi Army forces withdrew from the cities in these provinces where the task of sustaining security is granted to the police forces that are unable to protect the electoral centers and the candidates.”

“The contest among the candidates led to illegitimate practices like assassinations against some of them,” he concluded.
