Turkish aircrafts renew bombarding on PKK sites in Kurdistan

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Turkish aircrafts renewed bombarding on sites of the PKK on the borders with Kurdistan Region to prevent the rebels from affiliating to the Turkish territories despite the call of ceasefire released by the PKK leader, Abdullah Ojlan.

This bombarding, which did not cause any injuries, came two days after the visit of Kurdistan Region Premier, Najervan Barzani to Turkey where he met his counterpart Raajab Tayib Erdogan and discussed with him the withdrawal of the PKK elements to the Region’s territories.

For his part, Turkish security source stressed that “Mortars were bombarded from Kokarka village targeting the PKK rebels’ dens to prevent them from entering Turkey.”
