Kurds get benefit from political disputes in Iraq, says Timimi

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Mansour al-Timimi, of the State of Law Coalition stated that the Kurds got many benefits from the political disputes in Iraq.

Speaking to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “The Kurdish stance regarding their withdrawal from the government and the parliament is unjustified,” noting that “The Kurdish MPs represent the Iraqis and they must defend the rights of all the Iraqis.”

“The Kurds are the only beneficiary side from the General Budget, whereas Basra province forms about 90% of the Budget and gets only 1%,” he added.

“We, as the MPs from Basra province, had to withdraw from the government and the parliament, but to preserve the national unity we did not do that because we represent all Iraq not only Basra,” he concluded.
