Lakash calls Maliki to reduce his, Ministers’ salaries

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Mohamed al-Lakash, of the citizens bloc called the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, and his cabinet to follow the example of the Prime Minister of Cyprus and his Ministers by reducing their salaries.

He stated to IraqiNews.com “Maliki and the Ministers are supposed to reduce their salaries rather than appealing this law of reducing the Council of Ministers’ head and members’ salaries.”

Earlier, The Federal Court considered the law of reducing the Council of Ministers’ head and members’ salaries as violating the constitution.
