Erdogan: Iraq lacks national unity
(IraqiNews.com) The Turkish Prime Minister, Rajab Tayib Erdogan, confirmed that “The Iraqi people lack national unity.”
The Turkish Anatolia News Agency reported Erdogan as saying “If the Iraqi people continue thinking in the same way adopted by the Premier Nouri al-Maliki, then the country will face great loss.”
“The Iraqi government adopts inconsistent approach where it calls for establishing democratic regime and on other hand it plots schemes to terminate the legitimacy and democracy,” he added in reference to the decision of postponing the local elections in Anbar and Nineveh provinces.”
Erdogan called on the PKK elements to drop weapons, noting “In case the PKK elements give away weapons, the goodness will prevail in the country.”
