Supporters of Izzat al-Douri arrested in Babel

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Ministry of Interior announced arresting six persons who possess sectarian publications affiliated to the former deputy president Izzat al-Douri to the north of Babel province.The official spokesperson of the Ministry of Interior, Brigadier Saad Maan, reported in statement received by IraqiNews.com “The Babel Intelligence Directorate in cooperation with the police department arrested six persons in Iskandariya area.””The force seized sectarian and tendentious publications affiliated to the former deputy president, Izzat al-Douri,” the statement added, noting that “The publications incite sectarian, terrorism, killing, damaging State reputation and encourage on pressurizing the Government in order to create opposing public opinions to the government’s policy,” the statement added.”The publications, which were about hundred, included explanation for assassination operations for senior political figures,” Maan mentioned, pointing out that “The force also seized dozens of religious books that incite the return of Ba’ath party.”On the other hand, “The force managed to arrest ten persons who belong to what so called Fateh battalion which belongs to the so called Southern State and they admitted committing terrorist operations such as assassinating Sahwa elements and detonating explosives in Jebala, Haswa and Latefiya areas of northern Babel province,” he concluded. \END\
