Criminal Central Court sentences 3 terrorists to life in prison

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Criminal Central Court sentenced three defendants accused of detonating an officer’s house in Meshahda area within Tarmiya district to life in prison.The Judicial Authority reported in statement received by IraqiNews.com on Wednesday “The owner of the house was targeted for being an officer at the Iraqi Army and an element of a military unit positioned in Mosul province.””The perpetrators put explosive materials inside three containers and detonated the house which resulted in major material damage without human casualties,” the statement added, noting that “The criminals were aiming to create panic and disturb security.””Based on the confessions of the detainees and the statements of the police elements as well as the investigation report, the court issued the verdict according to the article (4) of Anti- Terrorism law and sentenced them to life in prison in accordance the law article 1/132 of Iraqi Penal Code,” the statement concluded. \END\
