MoFA approves conducting Turkish elections on Iraqi territories

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Secretariat General of the Council of Ministers approved to open the elections boxes in the presence of the Turkish community at the Iraq territories during the Turkish elections in 2014.The Secretariat General of the Cabinet reported in statement received by IraqiNews.com “The Secretariat General of the Cabinet approved the request that was submitted by the Turkish Embassy in Baghdad to open the elections boxes on Iraqi territories in order to provide the opportunity for the Turkish citizens in Iraq to participate in the Turkish elections scheduled to be held in 2014.””The Turkish Embassy discussed with the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs the mechanism of the elections process and means to provide the protection for it,” the statement added.”The Turkish Embassy demanded the Iraqi Government to emplace the elections boxes outside the Embassy to facilitate the elections process,” the statement concluded. \END\
