New oil well accomplished within Halfaya Oil Field in Maysan

Maysan, Amara (IraqiNews.com) Maysan Oil Company announced completing the drilling of a new oil well within Halfaya oil field (35 KM) to the southeastern of Maysan province.The Director General of Maysan Oil Company, Ali Maareg, reported in statement received by IraqiNews.com “The Bohai company, which is contracted with the Chinese main company (Petrojayna) has recently accomplished the operations of completions the oil well,” noting that “Maysan Oil Company is supervising the development operations carried out by the foreign companies in accordance with the licenses contracts granted by the province.””The completion works of the oil well lasted for 16 days and the oil well is ready to be connected to the production system in order to be included within the recent drilled wells,” the statement added.”With this well, the total wells which were drilled and accomplished by Petrojayna Company in Halfaya Oil Field became (41) wells since the beginning of the development of the oil field,” the statement concluded. \END\
