Turkey: Iraq’s unity essential to Ankara

(IraqiNews.com) Turkey stressed the necessity of involving all the Iraqi sides in structure of the Iraqi government.

The Turkish Foreign Minister, Ahmed Davutoglu, said during a joint press conference with his US counterpart, John Kerry, who arrived on Sunday to Ankara “We discussed, during our meeting, the Iraqi situation and the need to start a political dialogue that engages all the Iraqi parties to be based on partnership in the authority and the distribution of wealth.”

“The unity of Iraq territories is something essential to Ankara,” he confirmed.

The Iraqi Premier, Nouri al-Maliki has announced earlier starting a dialogue with Turkey to normalize the bilateral relations between both countries.
