Urgent – IHEC, 60% of security elements participate in special vote

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Independent High Electoral Commission revealed the participation of (60%) of the Army and Police forces in the special vote of elections of provincial councils.Member, Katea al-Zobaie, of the IHEC reported in press statement “The participation rate of security elements in the private ballot, which took place on Saturday, reached (60%).”The special vote of security elements in the elections of provincial councils started on Saturday in all Iraqi provinces except Nineveh and Anbar with the participation of 733,000 voters.According to officials in the IHEC about 64,000 security elements will vote in the public elections on 20/ April due to absence of their names in the voters list. \End\
