IHEC, 75% of Wasit security elements participate in private vote

Wasit (IraqiNews.com) The office of the Independent High Electoral Commission in Wasit province announced that the voting rate in the private ballot reached more than 75%.The Director of the IHEC office in Wasit, Hayder Abd Allawi, stated to IraqiNews.com “The participation rate in the private vote in Wasit province reached (75,07%) where the voters number was (19300) under the supervision of (481) observers.”The private vote for elements of Ministry of Defense and Ministry of Interior took place on Saturday with a voting rate reached (60%) according to sources in the IHEC.The IHEC announced that the private ballot and the public elections does not involve the security elements of Kurdistan Region province, Erbil, Sulaimaniya, and Dohuk in addition to Kirkuk, Nineveh and Anbar.
