Shimmari calls Baghdad PC to endorse Baghdad budget before holding PCs elections

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The spokesperson of the White bloc, Kadhim al-Shimmari, called Baghdad Provincial Council to endorse the budget of Baghdad province before holding the next Provincial Councils elections on the 20th of April.

In a press statement received by IraqiNews.com on Sunday, he said “Baghdad PC did not endorse Baghdad budget for 2013 because its members are busy with their electoral propaganda.”

“We have been informed that Baghdad Directorate submitted its 2013 plan to the PC, but the PC did not approve it yet where postponing it after the elections and electing the new governor will result in suspending the budget,” he added.

He called “Baghdad PC to hold an urgent meeting to endorse 2013 budget because leaving it will be a big legal mistake,” warning from “Discussing this issue at the parliament to save the citizen of Baghdad province.”
