Urgent – .Hakim releases initiative of "Baghdad, Capital of prosperity & Hope for 2020"

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The head of the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council, Ammar al-Hakim, released an initiative of “Baghdad, Capital of Prosperity & Hope for 2020.”

Hakim said during his speech on occasion of releasing the Citizen Coalition in Baghdad on Tuesday “It is our duty to announce a revolutionary step represented by Baghdad, Capital of Prosperity & Hope for 2020,” noting “This project extends for seven years to renovate Baghdad to be our hope for promising future and prosperous country.”

“This initiative involves several points, which are: establishing Baghdad reconstruction fund by cutting 1,5% from the general budget to finance this fund for seven years to be assigned for financing the strategic projects along with the budget allocated to the capital, Baghdad,” he added.

“The initiative also includes forming Baghdad reconstruction council to supervise the designs and implementation of the strategic projects,” Hakim concluded.
