Iraq, Russia resume talks over establishing Yusifiya power station

(IraqiNews.com) The governmental Russian (Ross Tej) Company revealed conducting negotiations with Iraq to resume the work at Yusifiya power station of southern Baghdad.

A statement by the Company which works in the armament and energy field cited “The talks included the cooperation in the electric power sector and the possibility of resuming the establishment of the second phase of Yusifiya electro-thermal station.”

“The project also involves erecting six electric units for the station of 210 megawatt for each,” the statement added.

It is worth mentioning that the Foundation had established the first phase of the station at cost of $ 550 million.
