Urgent – .Voters assault polling center in Diyala

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Independent High Electoral Commission announced that two ballot boxes were broken at a polling center in Diyala province.

Head of the Electoral office within the IHEC, Muqdad al-Sherifi, said “We were informed by our office in Diyala about a violation occurred when angry voters destroyed two of the ballot boxes because they did not find their names within the voter registers in Abara district of Diyala province.”

“We will send investigating commission to investigate this incident and know its circumstances,” he pointed out.
